Jemelup Chalets are set in the southwest of Western Australia, 350 kilometres south of the Perth, the capital city of the state. The chalets are located 10 minutes by car south of Dunsborough, a seaside tourist resort. The area is rich in tourist resources such as magnificent beaches, wineries, art galleries, potteries and tourist towns.

Karri Patch Cottage is a self contained scandinavian style cottage in a peaceful garden setting. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a double bed. There is also a single bed in the living room. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a bathroom/laundry. The cottage does not have air conditioning but, in the interests of energy conservation, uses shady trees, covered pergolas, fans and breezy windows. The cottage is surrounded by landscaped gardens, fruit trees and lawns. It has a private garden and outdoor living area with views downhill through jarrah forest. There is a toddler's sandpit near the cottage and a children's play area, badminton court and table tennis table.
