The Mitchell Shire is located less than one hour north of Melbourne in the heart of Victoria.
Seymour, provides a pivotal link along the old Hume Highway, for travelers south to Yea or North to Shepparton via Nagambie. It is on the main rail link from Melbourne (via Albury) to Sydney, and is a substantial sized township providing services to a large population in surrounding districts.
