Built in 2005 in Victorian Gothic style on an acre and a half amid wonderful old trees and English gardens, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Elm Wood now offers two individual self-contained cottages, cosy Linden Cottage for a romantic stay or the larger Holly Cottage that can cater to a family, or couples traveling together. Both cottages have been recently built in the old style, with high ceilings, cornice, jarrah wooden floors, king-sized beds, elegant furniture and wood fires. Property features include private parking, CD player, DVD player, WiFi connection, bath robes, wood heaters and wood, electric blankets, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, washing machine, port and chocolates on arrival, bath robes, wide verandahs, a selection of fine wines and a superb full breakfast provisions. Make Elm Wood your home base to explore everything Northern Tasmania has to offer: Cradle Mountain, limestone caves, Tamar Valley wineries and World Heritage areas are all just a short drive away...
Fitzpatricks Inn is a combined business offering many facilities. It has four accommodation motel style units with ensuites as well as four in-house rooms sharing a bathroom. The units are all at ground level whilst the rooms are on the first floor. A ground floor restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday inclusive. Thomas Andrew is our wonderful chef and we have an a la carte menu as well as a bar menu.
The quaint little village of Westbury, centrally located in the Northern Tasmania, is the perfect base from which to explore Launceston, Devonport, the Tamar wineries, Cradle Mountain, the Mole Creek Caves, the Northwest, and, of course the local attractions. Accommodation at Westbury Gingerbread Cottages is in 5 delightfully individual colonial cottages dating from the 1850's, with from one to three bedrooms accommodating from two to five guests, all decorated with period furniture and memorabilia. The cottages all have fully equipped kitchens and everything is supplied for a big hot breakfast. At the end of the day enjoy a quiet evening in front of the cosy gas log fires, or dine out at a local restaurant. The Gingerbread Cottage accommodates two guests in a queen bedroom, with lounge. kitchen/dining room, bathroom, laundry and verandashs overlooking the country garden. The Servant's Quarters accommodates two guests in a king bedroom, with lounge/dining room, kitchen/laundry and bathroom, with a communal BBQ courtyard outside...
