Ashley Motor Lodge is a modern motel complex offering 17 spacious quiet fully self-contained and serviced studio, one and two bedroom apartments. There are also 2 apartments with access facilities. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens, spa baths (except for access studios), free gym and sauna at small charge. The spectacular view that greets you when you walk into each unit sets Timaru's new motel Bay Viaduct (opened Dec 02) apart from the rest. Bay Viaduct captures the catch phrase "location, location, location" LOCATION The Motor Lodge is just a couple of minutes walk from Caroline Bay, Timaru's cafes, bars, restaurants and central business area. Situated in a prime position on the main highway at the base of Wai-iti Road (always known as the Bay Viaduct corner before the motorway), Bay Viaduct is easy to find for the visiting guest and locals alike. All units are double glazed, so the great view and prime location are not tainted by road noice. Additionally each unit has its own patio where guests can sit in the summer sun, take in the spectacular views and admire Timaru at its best. All units are non-smoking but guests may smoke out on the balcony if required. The units are a visual feast. Caroline Motel is an excellent 12 unit complex in a superb location and so handy to everything. You will find us opposite Caroline Bay, Desmond Unwin Tennis Centre and Maori Park Pools. And it's just a short walk to the town centre, many splendid restaurants or the RSA Club. Our units are studios, two bedrooms and larger family units, and a three bedroom unit. All are very spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated and serviced daily. Because of our large units we can cater well for the corporate traveller and have great facilities for families and groups.

Ample parking outside every unit. Having a mix or one, two bedroom and studio units we can cater for the lone traveler, families and large groups. We are close to the Botanic Gardens, Centenery Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, the Public Hospital, a 7 Day dairy, service station and bus stop. We are only a 3 minute drive from the city centre and restaurants. We offer 5 Sky TV channels in each room and can supply Satelite TV on request.

Elizabeth Court is a 12 room Bed and Breakfast situated on the border of the Central Business District of Timaru. Each room is uniquely decorated and has its own ensuite toilet. There are three shared bathrooms one which has a bath for a relaxing soak and all wheelchair accessible. Just a short stroll to either shopping, supermarket, Tavern, a stroll down to Caroline Bay or the restaurants on Bay Hill or in the city. Also just two blocks from the SH1 bypass central Timaru. The Trevor Griffiths Rose Garden is breathtaking in the spring and summer and we have Christchurch or Dunedin within a two hour journey by car. Aoraki Mt Cook and the Mckenzie district with its hydro lakes, fishing, boating, waterskiing, and spectacular scenery is an hour or so inland through Tekapo with its "Church of the Good Shepherd". Come and stay a while at "Ginnys Place".

An easy-to-find rural camp at Saltwater Creek just south of Timaru. The grounds are level, with easy access to all sites, which are landscaped with trees and shrubs. An attractive kidney-shaped pool is set in a fenced enclosure. The all-in-one service block is clean, bright and attractive. The kitchen is a beauty, and adjoins a T.V lounge that overlooks the children\'s playground and free BBQ. The ablutions are functional and very clean including a disability/family unit. The laundry has automatic equipment. Of the 110 sites here, 70 have power and there are now 50 unpowered sites, with water on site. There is a dump point. A camp store offers basic requirements.
