Leconfield House was built in 1872 by Reginald Wyndham the youngest son of the founders of Dalwood Estate which is now known as Wyndham Estate, Australia's oldest operating winery. Dalwood Estate is recognised as the home of Shiraz in Australia. This peaceful and private estate is set on 13 acres with spectacular Hunter Valley views in close proximity to most Hunter Wineries, restaurants and other attractions. The house was extensively renovated and refurbished in 2000 and currently offers AAA Tourism 4.5 star accommodation at a competive rate. All rooms have private en-suite facilities and are air conditioned.Guest lounge room and the dining room have open marble fireplaces and leadlight French doors and windows. The Great Verandah upstairs is fully enclosed and takes in some of the best views the Hunter Valley has to offer. A wholesome country breakfast is included in the tariff and is served in the fine dining room downstairs. Tea & coffee making facilities are provided and other meals are available by arrangement...
