Built in 1875, Seaview House offers a warm and friendly environment with traditional guesthouse charm and ambience.

There are 14 guest rooms each with ensuite, television and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms are unique and reflect Seaview's Coffee Palace past, while at the same time providing modern-day conveniences.

Premier rooms feature queen-sized beds with delightful French and Oriental style quilts, handmade in Queenscliff.

The Deluxe Suite is attractively furnished and has a private balcony. It has a large bathroom complete with an antique Victorian bath. Bath oils and fragrances are provided for guests' pleasure. TV & DVD player in room, fridge & tea/coffee making.

There are two guest lounges at Seaview. The upstairs lounge offers delightful views of the town and the sea beyond. In the downstairs lounge guests can relax in style and read from the extensive library or chat by the open fire.

In 1890 a second storey was added to the building. Iron balustrades and lace work were added and the picket fence was replaced with a corrugated iron one.

The enlarged residence became the Seaview Coffee Palace. Seaview Coffee Palace was possibly Queenscliff's first taste of the popular coffee palaces or temperance hotels of the times.

Today, Seaview Art and Craft Gallery occupies the downstairs space that once belonged to the original green grocer shop. The remainder of the building, now known as "Seaview House", continues to operate as a charming guesthouse.
