Up here in the mountains we experience a variety of weather conditions year round. Summer temperatures may reach the mid 30degC, though it has also dusted snow at christmas time. Mostly the days are quite mild, with March to June generally offering the clearest weather. Regardless of the month it is advisable to pack a jacket.

Each night you are welcomed to join us for a Hearty Home Cooked Country Meal - bookings preferred. Cooked breakfasts and Lunches available. Please contact us should you require further information. We look forward to your visit.

Karoonda Park offers a full range of outdoor adventure and farm experiences for groups and individuals. Established early in the 1970's as a Beef and Sheep farm our operation has expanded into School Camps Programs, Adventure Tourism, Family Cabins, Lodge and Motel Suite Accommodation, Hereford Bull Stud and Roadhouse.

Bounded by the Alpine and Snowy River National Parks, Wilderness Areas and State Forests, Karoonda Park provides a convenient base for exploration of this special country. The Gelantipy region from the Cobbera high peaks to the Legendary Snowy River is home to the elusive Brumby and last habitat to the endangered Victorian Brushtail Rock Wallaby. It possesses the deepest gorges, remotest wilderness areas and contributes significantly to our pioneering past of stock routes, bridle trails, and mining.

Few other places in Australia can offer such a broad range of activities in a location as spectacular as the Snowy River and Cobbera High Country of Victoria. Room Descriptions

Family Cabins

8 Fully self contained Cabins.
Sleeping from 7 to 21 people are available for Families and Groups. Families are considered to be of 2 adults and up to 4 school children. Extra family members are charged at an additional per person nightly rate. For Adult Group Bookings a total of 4 persons applies to the standard cabin rate. Additional members again attract a per night rate.

Bedrooms vary in size and are fitted with both bunk beds and double beds featuring new mattresses. Several cabins have recently been refurbished, with further works shortly planned. All beds are supplied with donnas or blankets, bed linen is available upon request at a small fee.

Motel

Two suites are available, containing serviced private bathroom, double bed, single bed, fridge and complementary tea and coffee.
